Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, also known as Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea is a Pan-India historical epic war film. Priyadarshan has directed as well as written the film. The film is produced by Aashirvad Cinemas with Moonshot Entertainments and Confident Group as co-producers. Starring Mohanlal in the title role, with Arjun Sarja, Suniel Shetty, Prabhu, Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh, Mukesh, Siddique, and Nedumudi Venu in supporting roles.
The film began principal photography in December 2018 and was concluded in March 2019, with the film shot at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. It had a year-long post-production work. With a budget of ₹100 crores, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is the most expensive Malayalam film ever made. The film was originally scheduled for release on 26 March 2020, along with its dubbed version in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu languages. But the release date was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now the film is scheduled for theatrical release on 26 March 2021. Again the movie Maker has postponed the movie release date, now the film will be released on 2 December.

The original Producer of the film Marakkar has not sold the dubbing rights to any 3rd Company. they kept the dubbing rights with them. The film is shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu languages. Hindi Version will be Distributed by Max Movies. The film was scheduled for Theatrical release was on 12 August 2021. But Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic situation. the release date was postponed. Now the film will be released on 2 December 2021 in theaters in all languages.
