Movie Plot
Sakthi (Sivakarthikeyan) who takes it upon himself to safeguard the current education system from Mahadev (Abhay Deol), the gatekeeper of corporate lobbying. Through the mentorship of Moorthy (‘Action King’ Arjun), he decides to shut down Mahadev’s business & sets-off on a path to change the current education system by hiding his identity. Whether Sakthi is truly able to remove the anchors of Mahadev’s rigid system or not.
Movie Review
The makers of Hero are promoting the film as a superhero story, but what they have not given up (or vaguely hinted at) is that the film is also a spiritual link to Shankar’s Gentleman. One of the main characters of the film, Satyamurthy, was played by Arjun, who was the protagonist of Gentleman (named Krishnamurthy). And in his previous story, we learn that he looted the rich to build an educational institution that gives free education to all.
This is exactly what Krishnamurthy did in Gentleman. PS Mitharan uses this as a stepping stone to his plot – System-A Mathuradhuku Gentleman Pathadhu! His idol is one who has understood the fact that free education is not enough for progress, especially when the education system is rotting. And so, he is running a school where children are considered to be failing, they get a chance to excel in areas where they are good.

However, as a superhero film, Hero seems like an effort. Mithran gets myth-making rights. We get a prologue that works as a story of Shakti and also the creation of a myth – a schoolchild who is inspired by Shaktimaan and wants to become a superhero himself. And in Mahadev, he gives us an antagonist who challenges this idea of a childhood dream and crushes the dream and transforms free-thinking students into educated labor.
But the superhero of power does not have the effect of change. We didn’t even get a catchy name; We find an unimaginable mask in the form of the alter-ego of Shakti. Shakti says, “Suyam Sindikkara Overeutharum Superhero. But we mostly see him following Murthy’s ideas. Perhaps Mitharan felt that Shakti made a case for Murthy’s opposition instead of running abroad in the country, which was enough to turn him into a superhero. As Mugamudi, you admire the fact that the filmmaker has tried to make his superhero as desi as possible, but at the same time feel overwhelmed by this superhero because of the work he does (beating up bad guys, Rides bikes at high speeds) amidst traffic, giving people money back, and giving speeches) is in no way different from what our heroes regularly do on screen.
