Vijay is an unemployed young man who has to repay a loan shark who is a dangerous thug. He also plans intercourse with his girlfriend Anu, when he pays his debt. But what happens when nothing happens according to his plan and everything goes from one adventure to another?
It is the official remake of the dark comedy Malayalam film Nerum. It remains as honest to the original as it can. The story deals with many accidents that occur in the life of the protagonist. The story mostly captures the audience, but it loses steam at times, where the story slows down.
The plot of this story is simple, Vijay has no job, he has a loan to repay and his lover’s parents reject him for the same reasons. Just when Vijay and his girl Anu feel that their problems have been solved, there is a series of daring questions to both of them whether they can ever find their happiness.

The film is clever and technically strong. It is stylish and visually appealing. But one wonders if the original USP’s momentum for the visual appeal was small. Vijay Raghavendra and Sangeeta Bhatt make a good looking pair and do a commendable job. The ensemble is carefully put together. Nandagopal as the Lone Shark is entertaining. Chikkanna is a treat in its different avatar.
Luck is an honest endeavor and it shows. This would particularly appeal to those who have not seen the original. And for those who have, Vijay has tried to cast his own spin on the character he dons.
