Bhishma Venki is Kudumula’s second film and you can see that he has a special style of filmmaking which is clearly unique to him. With her debut film Chalo, the director proved that a script can be as inept and unbelievable as she wants it to be, and yet, she can manage to entertain you. And with this one, he draws it yet again, perhaps not like his first film, but still, certainly making it clear that Crazy is what he excels at.
Nithin and Rashmika are happy to watch on-screen. They look comfortable in the skin of their characters and while it is not the day when they get the character of an independent woman in commercial cinema, Rashmika makes sure that she is no less than someone or someone who does not have a moon. On the hero, and this is a refreshing change. Even though her character treats her well when this happens, she just wishes that she wasn’t objectified in a certain scene. Nithin draws his character effortlessly, delivers a good performance and certainly maintains the chaotic fun surrounding him. Vanella Kishore brings things to life with her flawless delivery of one-liners. Jishu’s character is there, so is that of Anant Nag, even if they do best with whatever they hand over. Brahmaji, Naresh, Raghu Babu, and Sampat Raj wind up through their roles.
